Except for the monsoon season, Ranthambore National Park is completely functional around the year, but only 1-5 zones are operational during the monsoon season. We suggest that one must go on the Ranthambore Safari during the winter season (October and March) as the possibility of tiger sightings is more, and the weather is also soothing, making it easier for you to ride in the sun.

Although both the Morning and Afternoon safaris offer an equal wildlife sighting possibility and tiger sightings can happen in any safari. But assessing the chances of a tiger sighting, the morning time has slightly better chances than the afternoon safari, as the tigers avoid the harsh sun rays and usually don't come out in the open when the sun is intense. However, during the winter, the afternoon safari offers a better chance of tiger sightings as you can locate them basking in the sun during winters. So, the morning is better in summer, and the afternoon is better in the winter season.

If you want to see tigers in India, then going on a Ranthambore wildlife safari is definitely worth it! Apart from Tigers, Ranthambore is known for its rich flora and fauna, which attracts many tourists year-round. One must certainly go on Ranthambore Safari at least once in a lifetime.

Still, cameras are allowed without any extra charges, whereas a charge of INR 600 is taken for video cameras. But while using a camera, one must not use any spotlight or flashlight on wild animals as it may trigger them, so you need the prior permission in such cases.

Technically there are ten zones in Ranthambore National Park, so one must definitely go to each zone to see the tourist-accessible part of Ranthambore National Park. But there is no maximum limit to your visit as every time you visit, you will see a completely new essence of the park, and you will fall in love with it again.

All the zones are good and are divided by the government, with tigers having territories in every zone. While on Ranthambore Safari, one can spot tigers in any of the ten zones; all that is required is luck. Preferably we suggest zone 3 as the best because of the presence of huge water bodies where the tigers generally come to drink water.

Children are allowed for the Ranthambore safari. Children under five years old are free without a seat, and you will need to take a safari pass for children above five years of age.
